[edit] Original Fan Translation article

I moved the previous article at this location to Fan translation of computer and video games as discussed on that article's talk page and AFD discussion Ironfrost 05:50, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Copyright infringement?

Seems unlikely. If software reverse-engineering was, then I'd suspect so. But it's not, and performing a fan translation (like a ROM or ISO patch) of a legitimately processed work seems more like reverse-engineering than copying.

Information is not covered by copyright, only intellectual work. (and even then as the article states, ideas must be patented). 4.225.26.79 (talk) 08:31, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
