[edit] Flag Image?

The flag image has been deleted? Can someone find an image they can post and put it back here? Inkan1969 21:36, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the new flag image, Osgoodelawyer. Inkan1969 22:05, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

I'd like to make an svg version of the flag but I need a much larger logo to start from than is available anywhere online. If there are any Tamils (or anyone, for that matter) who have a printed copy of the logo that they can scan in high resolution for me, it would be greatly appreciated.  OzLawyer / talk  23:03, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

The Flag Changed the EYES ARE NOW IN WHITE and not red.

[edit] Vandal moves and edits

Recently, Snowolfd4 made a move and several vandal edits to the page. It should be clarified: this is the flag designated for Tamil Eelam. The flag of the LTTE has writing on it as shown by their emblem, and is NOT this flag. mnmazur  voicemail

In case this wasn't clear enough: it does not matter whether or not Tamil Eelam is recognized or exists. This flag was designated as the flag of Tamil Eelam, and therefore the article should note that it is the Flag of Tamil Eelam in the page name. The flag of the LTTE is like this: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_h9jM93aGqfs/R4N_85xMVuI/AAAAAAAAAo8/MNxPPg8bU58/s400/sl_tigers.gif (note the writing, name of the organization, etc). If someone wishes to make a separate article for that flag, they should do so, but the flags are not the same (as the article points out). Whether Snowolfd4's edits were well intentioned or not is not for me to decide, though I should hope he will not re-move the page. An analogous case would be calling the flag of Western Sahara the "flag of the Polisario" or calling the flag of Palestine the "PLO flag." Just because an organization uses a flag does not make it the flag of that organization. mnmazur  voicemail
