[edit] The following comments appeared when this page was entitled "French Colonies"

Although "French Colonies" is the traditional term, it could be confused with French colonies; "stamps issued for the French colonies without their own stamps" is unambiguous, but massively awkward. Suggestions welcome... Stan

[edit] How about adding "(stamps)"?

Or perhaps (philately)?

I'm trying to work on French colonialism in West Africa, and I keep coming across stamp work (which is evidence of what a good job people with that interest are doing). We need to disentangle somehow, and I'm open to any suggestions.T L Miles 16:38, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Moving this page.

It seems that the standard disambiguation is "Postage stamps and postal history of X". See Category:Postage stamps by country. T L Miles (talk) 23:46, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
