[edit] Last paragraph

The last paragraph seems rather unrelated to the subject. Should I omit this? Also, the second paragraph seems a bit inaccurate to me, in particular, its explanation of how the deaths of the priests caused the unification of the different groups. Migs 06:46, 9 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] NPOV and sources

This is an interesting article, but it needs to cite at least one or two sources, and more importantly, we need to change the language to make it more neutral. Here are a few of the many examples of non-neutral language, taken from the beginning of the article: "trumped-up charges" (might be justifiable, if universally agreed in sources), "suffered martyrdom" (instead of "was executed"), "apparently just the pretext needed", "minions" (instead of "followers"), etc. David 16:20, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Copyedit, attempt to remove non-neutral entries & references

Did all of the above; hope the article is now satisfactory. Added some new stuff too. -- • Kurt Guirnela •Talk 09:24, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] de la Torre and Chronological Inaccuracies

The bit about Carlos Maria de la Torre doesn't make sense. If you check de la Torre's wiki page, it says he was born a year after the 3 priests were executed. Either the (A) the link is bad, and should be to a different de la Torre; (B) the date for the Gomburza executions is wrong; or (C) de la Torre's chronology is all wrong. I am almost positive it's (A), but I figured I'd defer to someone more knowledgable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.83.96.33 (talk) 03:09, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Yup, wrong person. The link pointed to an Ecuadorian, not a Spaniard. Link fixed. — • Kurt Guirnela •Feedback 03:23, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
