[edit] Old talk
The name of the village was changed in 1998 (I was living there at the time). The census data is available at American FactFinder at http://factfinder.census.gov/servlet/BasicFactsServlet - (you have to look under Hagatna, Guam to find the information) -
the population figures are sometimes "adjusted" by including population from some of the surrounding, continguous villages such as Agana Heights, Barrigada, Chalan-Pago-Ordot, Dededo, Mangilao, Mongmong-Toto-Maite, Sinajana, Tamuning or Yigo.
How about a SAMPA pronunciation? --FOo 22:15, 7 Aug 2003 (UTC)
Also I find the spelling somewhat dubious, as Å I've only ever encountered as a special letter in the Norwegian alphabet.--TVPR 09:55, 9 Feb 2005 (UTC)
It's certainly not dubious to the people of Guam who speak Chamorro, which uses it. It's well documented in the Wikipedia article on the language, so why exactly would you find it dubious? --Sturmde 21:29, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
Why does this redirect from Agana Heights? Agana Heights != Agana, right?
Agana Heights shouldn't link to Hagåtña. The village should have its own page. Mongmong-Toto-maite and Sinajana need pages too. Onionhound 16:34, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
- Agana Heights and Sinajana seem to be okay now. Mongmong-Toto-Maite is still redirecting here, though. Can somebody change that? Backspace 21:07, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Picture
Can we have a more colorful picture than one from WWII, please? Shandristhe azylean 16:07, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Chamorro Scouting
Can someone render "Be Prepared", the Scout Motto, into Chamorro? Thanks! Chris 08:24, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
- According to one native speaker I've talked to, "Prepara hao" seems to fit. - BanyanTree 08:04, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Article name
Why is this article called "Hagåtña, Guam" rather than just "Hagåtña"? Are there any other Hagåtñas? 194.80.106.135 (talk) 15:18, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
