[edit] Warning of a possible split

Be warned: CoolKatt number 99999 has designs on needlessly splitting this article into WPTZ and WRCV-TV, former calls for KYW-TV. The history of WPTZ and WRCV-TV is the history of KYW-TV because they are the same station! It is an integral part of the history of the history of the station that does not need an article. A redirect? Maybe, but an article, no! Kramden4700 06:24, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

He's also trying to do the same thing with WKBS-TV (Philadelphia) and WGTW-TV, only in reverse: the two articles were split from the original WGTW-TV by Blueboy96, and for a valid reason. CoolKatt is using this example as his reasoning for wanting the split. Of course, I think it's unnecessary. I also removed (again) the merge templates from both articles, one of which included the CK-added message "!-- do not remove the merge tag --". Once again, another example of how he uses WP:OWN to his disadvantage. Rollosmokes 09:04, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
A split sounds really stupid here, too, just like for WPVI. Is there some way to give him a time out? Wrath of Roth 17:26, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
As the person who originally contributed the articles for most of the Philly stations, I'm just glad the needless splits didn't happen. John 09:35, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A proposal for Past Personalities

Yesterday, Firsfron reversed my edits to the Past Personalities section. I understand the reasons for doing so, which is why I propose that the entire list be spun off into a seperate page. The reasons I added all of those changes was because I have a lot of that information saved on a disk and I just didn't want to see it all go to waste. BHayes07 20:24, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WYSP (Free FM) now at new location

As of midnight on March 17, 2007 (St. Patrick's Day), WYSP started broadcasting from a new state-of-the-art studio located at 4th and Market Streets, a concrete and glass high-rise only one block east of the old 5th & Market location. Rwboa22 15:28, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit]

Shouldn't there be at least one Group W era logo for this article? WAVY 10 20:07, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Is it possible KYW-TV & WCAU-TV could swap ownsership?

[edit] Removal of content re-added by Bfren8788

While Bfern8788 provided a source for those alumni, unfortunately, it's a self-published source--note that the introduction says, "This page is updated as I find or receive more information. If you would like to contribute email me at the address below." As such, it doesn't meet the reliable source guidelines. Qwyrxian (talk) 01:35, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
