[edit] Erroneous Information
Both the article and the map shown for Khandesh are wrong, very wrong.
It shows only the former districts of Dhule (Dhulia) and Jalgaon, but does not include the district of Nashik, the former West Khandesh.
(Dhule was recently bifurcated into Dhule and Nandurbar districts).
The article wrongly states that Jalgaon is the former West Khandesh; as a matter of fact, Jalgaon and Dhule were created by bifurcating East Khandesh!
Khandesh is coterminus with the Nashik Division of Maharashtra "state", and yet, the District of Nashik is excluded from this article (and map)!
This map and this article both needs to be corrected.
Lastly, it must be mentioned that the once quite famous former princely states of Baglan and Surgana are a part of, or located within, Khandesh, and that it borders the District of the Dangs to its west (See [1]). WikiSceptic 18:29, 24 November 2005 (UTC)
- How may I correct this page? I can change text, but I do not know how to alter the illustration. If someone will do that, I will attend to the text part. WikiSceptic 09:50, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
