I'm from Kaniv :)

There's a story about my recent trip there in English. And also a long article with a lot of sources, by my father--the school teacher of History (in Ukrainian language though)

I have no problem with Polish names at all (and I used them myself even in this very article). But to keep it in the first line, please show that Polish name is frequently used in English language. Google test shows plenty of Kaniv and Kanev, and not Kaniow. I am not itching to remove it asap, but please do respond at some point. --Irpen 22:12, 9 October 2005 (UTC)

  • Kaniow is irrelevant, as well as Kijow and Moskwa. Let the Poles use these names in the Polish Wiki. --Ghirlandajo 22:38, 9 October 2005 (UTC)
The Polish name of that place is quite relevant, both for its importance during the PLC times and for the battle. There is quite a few English, French or German books using the Polish rather than Russian or Ukrainian name. [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8], [9], [10], [11], [12], [13], [14]......
