[edit] Name origin

Is there any reference for the claim for the origin of the name Ladysmith ? The date (1900) is suspiciously close to the Siege of Ladysmith (ended February 1900), which was a major headline-making event at the time and a matter of passion for many British Americans.Wefa 16:55, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
