[edit] Rive Gauche v. Rive Droite

In her novel Wise Children, Angela Carter makes the distinction between the rive gauche and rive droite by comparing them to manhattan and brooklyn, or north and south london; their populations were of completely different economic states. Is this still true? Is there a class divide along these lines? If not, when was it true? Should this information be somehow provided in the article? - DropDeadGorgias (talk) 01:05, Jun 28, 2004 (UTC)

If you have it, it should be included. Stevage 22:30, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Splitting up

I would like to split this article up into two completely separate ones - there is no real common thread between Biscay and Paris. Does anyone have objections to Left Bank referring uniquely to the Paris Left Bank, and Left Bank (Biscay) becoming the page for Biscay? Stevage 22:30, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
