[edit] Lesser Poland and Lesser Poland voivodship

Why somebody has merged the article about Lesser Poland and Lesser Poland voivodship. The first one is a historical region much wider than the voivodship. I don't know why there can't be 2 articles? Slawojarek 19:05, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Agreed, it is a mess. There should be two articles. Or at least two maps. --Valentinian 21:20, 19 December 2005 (UTC)

It should be 2 articles: Lesser Poland and Galicja (historical region) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.205.185.148 (talk) 19:51, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Moved

Page moved from Little Poland to Lesser Poland by request from WP:RM Ryan Norton T | @ | C 00:57, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

THE PAGE SHOULD BE ENTITLED MAŁOPOLSKA! It is useless to translate this geographic name as "Little Poland" (literally "Mała Polska") or "Lesser Poland" (literally "Mniejsza Polska"). S.Ufnalska, Poznań, 19:50, 21 Mar 2007 (Sylwianka)

As in the case of Wielkopolska, I agree entirely! These Greats, Greaters, Littles and Lessers are uncommunicative and confusing. Is, for example, "Greater Poland" something like "Greater German Reich"? logologist|Talk 22:30, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Merge this with Greenpoint,Brooklyn?

This is a small article about a "part of a neighborhood." It is not analogous to any real neighborhood. It doesn't have its own representative in the New York State council, does it? Does it have a city council board to call its own? Is it separated by defined borders? NO, this is just a part of a neighborhood--Greenpoint. If a part of a neighborhood merits an article, so should Chinatown or Little Italy. They don't, so why should this be considered a neighborhood of New York City instead of a subsection of Greenpoint?--Screwball23 talk 20:58, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Land of Radom

As far as I remember, Radom is historically part of Malopolska, so why somebody stated that Lesser Poland borders Land of Radom? This does not make any sense, just like someone would write that Mazovia borders Land of Plock. Tymek 05:13, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Working on the article

I have been working on this article for some time, and I plan to continue, step by step, as it is very time consuming with all the sources and data. My dream is to elevate it to Good, or better, Featured Article level. Help is very much appreciated. Tymek (talk) 20:41, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi there Tymek. I've noticed that the History section is extremely long. What do you say to splitting most of that detail off into History of Lesser Poland? --Mûĸĸâĸûĸâĸû (blah?) 06:08, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
