[edit] Untitled

Once again this is only about U.S. Immigration law, something that is not clear from the name. Also the page History of US immigration should redirect here.

Here is an external reference to text of the Page act of 1875

The terms "immigration" and "naturalization" aren't synonyms. The entries in the article include both. I suggest that you edit the article or edit the article title. Thanks, Wordreader (talk) 08:35, 14 January 2012 (UTC)

[edit] Operation Wetback

Suggest this entry be removed: Operation Wetback is not U.S. Immigration Legislation.

Archivist911, you are quite right. A government action is not a law.
The remarks in the current text are not consistent with one another. If Mexicans were banned for the first time in 1965, it
is not clear to me how they could be illegal in 1954. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.145.71.78 (talk) 16:22, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

[edit] 1882

The American laws of 1790, 1795 and 1798 all referred explicitly to race. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.177.249.165 (talk) 13:11, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
