[edit] Comparison

How about adding these to the Comparison of streaming media systems?

I agree, as the table of comparison holds itself a list. This article is redundant. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.216.42.156 (talk) 21:37, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit] FORlive

[edit] Intro

This a streaming media system which does not have a link in the List of streaming media systems page.

[edit] Technology

  • PAL (up to 384x288, 25fps) or NTSC (up to 320x240, 30fps)
  • Java player
  • HTTP fetches
  • Dynamic adjustment of video size and frame rate to reflect actual connection speed
  • Live review, editing and publishing available through FORscene

[edit] History

First version launched at IBC (Europe's biggest broadcast show) in 2003. Regular upgrades since then.

[edit] EVE

"EVE is a new engine ruunning streaming audio/ video for the VM Direct corp."

I don't known who added this, but this is a better place for it. Stephen B Streater 16:49, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Streamcast is not a Streaming media system

As stated in the subject. I have removed it from the list.

[edit] Andromeda / Zina

"Zina: Open source alternative to Andromeda written in PHP"

Fair enough. What's 'Andromeda' then? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Deke42 (talkcontribs) 19:12, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Zina doesn't even have a page, I suggest it be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.200.85.149 (talk) 23:51, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Commercial products on this list

This list seems to be a mix of open-source and commercial products (Wowza for example). Is that acceptable? There are a lot of commercial streaming media systems out there. Why do some get onto this list and others don't? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.85.183.151 (talk) 14:22, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Packet Ship

Further to the above I've added an external link to a commercial RTSP streaming product, Packet Ship, with an NPV description - I hope that is acceptable. It is relatively notable within its specialist domain (hotel VOD systems). sandtreader (talk) 12:53, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Makradio Streamer

Please take a look at http://streamer.makradio.ru It is a radio automation software with php web based interface. Is it possible to add this program to the list? 31.128.143.75 (talk) 11:46, 30 June 2011 (UTC)Andrey Volk
