How do the totals for Livingstone and Norris work? Because they're less than the combined total of the 1st and 2nd preference votes for those candidates.

Basically, your vote only counts once - so if you voted Livingstone 1, Norris 2 your vote would stay with Livingstone in the second round and your second preference wouldn't be counted. Some people obviously voted that way (or Norris 1, Livingstone 2) so they are listed as having voted but their preference did not transfer to the second round. 81.86.52.239 11:52, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
