[edit] Year of birth

The wikipedias in other languages maintain that Parry is born in 1965, not in 1966. I really don't know what is true, maybe anybody can check this.

[DidT] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.105.147.152 (talk) 04:19, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

I've been following his career since 1991 and I've always seen the year 1966. The James Brady “In Step With… Luke Perry” article from PARADE magazine is linked as the source to confirm 1966 as his correct year of birth. That was the second time James Brady had interviewed him, first time listed 1966 as Luke's birth year as well. Personally, I don't know where people are getting the 1965 year from. Crbsd 03:41, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

It says 1965 on his IMDB page. Of course, this could just be a typo - but who knows for sure?79.69.19.5 18:34, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

I remember that his IMDB page listed 1966 years ago (think it was around the time he was first listed on IMDB). I don't know why it was changed, when it was actually changed, or what source it was based on to make the change. However, I know that IMDB can be edited by fans if they are a registered user and that not all of the info on that site is accurate. I think the only ones that would truly know for sure is Luke and his family/friends. But, I'm confident in thinking his year of birth is indeed 1966 based on everything I've seen. Crbsd 02:59, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

And how come, that all the other Wikipedias say, he's born in 1965? --DidT —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.105.147.152 (talk) 05:15, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

I checked all of the other Wikipedias, there are 2 that also list 1966: the Italiano and Polski pages. Yes, I realize that means that a majority of the other Wikipedias list a different year, but I'm still confident that the year 1966 is the correct one. Do any of the ones that list 1965 provide proof for that year like I have done for 1966? Crbsd 00:36, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

It's very probable that the Italiano and Polski Wikipedias just translated it from the English article. The other Wikipedias don't seem to provide any proof. I'm surprised that it's so hard to find out such a trivial thing :-) --DidT —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.105.147.152 (talk) 03:58, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

His official page on facebook says he is born in 1965. Also, an article in the swedish newspaper Aftonbladet lists him as 42 in August 2008. http://www.aftonbladet.se/nojesbladet/film/article3194627.ab http://www.facebook.com/search/?q=Luke+Perry&init=quick#/pages/Luke-Perry/22368445063?v=info&ref=search Karbuncle (talk) 17:17, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

There's no evidence that the Facebook page is truly his, so that's discounted. As for Aftonbladet, that's a story about him, not a story where they interviews him directly. As such, I'm still taking the James Brady interview as definitive. Tabercil (talk) 18:54, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

They don't call it the OFFICIAL page unless it's prooved that it really is the celebrity who is creating the page. As for the James Brady interview there's nothing in the interview that shows that Luke Perry himself has stated that he is born in 1966. All we have is a statement from the journalist. Neither the journalist asks any question to him related to his birthdate. Karbuncle (talk) 01:13, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Still, I'll take an article where the author has spoken with the subject over one where it's merely about the subject in general for accuracy in this case. Tabercil (talk) 01:33, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

I admit I was wrong. I checked on birthdatabase and they states him as being 43 years old. Karbuncle (talk) 16:45, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Random Line Removed

I removed the line "In 2006 he joined the cast of Wicked as the tinman." which was deposited after the references.Yyem 22:45, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

I would like to know why you deleted half of Luke's filmography and hometown? There doesn't seem to be any reason for it. It was factual and provides no undue burden on the article length. Luke's hometown of Fredericktown has been documented in a People magazine article and he often talks about it in interviews.

I did. I deleted all the minor credits because Wikipedia shouldn't be a listing of every single film Perry has been in, but only the major, theatrically-released ones. We can link to the IMDB for a full listing. I also took out extraneous information throughout the article. I guess you can put down his high school if you want, just in a different and less distracting format than before. Vulturell 06:30, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

Luke Perry is not related to Matthew Perry.

Hello Mr. Perry, Im bad speak english, I want ask, you been in Ukraine?

are you related to Matthew Perry?

[edit] The Free Encyclopedia

Sorry, Helen, but Wikipedia does not serve as a site where we directly ask celebrities different questions. We only serve as an online encyclopedia. May I suggest going on a search engine (ie: Yahoo) and finding a site where people can ask celebrities different questions. I apologize.

PS, Luke Perry is not related to Matthew Perry. HG707 13:18, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Green Sea turtles?

The only place I've come across the allegation that Perry has consumed green sea turtles, much less has "an addiction" to their "sweet, delicious flesh" is this article on Wikipedia. It may be true, but it needs some sort of citation, I think. I'm deleting that paragraph until it can be sourced.
