[edit] Gay Icon Project
In my effort to merge the now-deleted list from the article Gay icon to the Gay icons category, I have added this page to the category. I engaged in this effort as a "human script", adding everyone from the list to the category, bypassing the fact-checking stage. That is what I am relying on you to do. Please check the article Gay icon and make a judgment as to whether this person or group fits the category. By distributing this task from the regular editors of one article to the regular editors of several articles, I believe that the task of fact-checking this information can be expedited. Thank you very much. Philwelch 21:06, 24 Mar 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Mohammed cartoons
I've deleted the line about Lulu calling for the death of Muslims. Something that controversial needs references, and I couldn't see any other mention of it in Google. User:rojomoke 16:28, 14 Feb 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Seires
Is that a typo for series? AnonMoos 23:03, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Year of birth is incorrectly listed as 1938
IMDB lists her year of birth as 1948 -http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0525801/. The liner notes to the 1989 CD reissue of her album "Something to Shout About" also gives November 3rd 1948 as her date of birth. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zeichner (talk • contribs) 13:51, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Surname
Where does the name Kennedy-Cairns come from? Has she married again? Rojomoke (talk) 23:57, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
[edit] American English or British English?
I've noticed that there is a mixture of American and British spellings. Given that she's from the UK, the Brit spelling is likely more appropriate.
IMHO, they should be consistent, one style or the other. Pick one, and I can fix it all up. NavyVet6989 (talk) 06:30, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
- I think WP:ENGVAR and WP:TIES cover the points you're addressing, including consistency within an article. I agree that the Brit spelling is more appropriate and that's the one I would pick. If you're willing to do the work to update the article, that would be great. One way or another it should be consistent. Thanks. Rossrs (talk) 11:50, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
- Also, the article seems to use British date format (ie day month year) throughout, and that's more support, I guess, for using British spelling. Rossrs (talk) 11:51, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
