Is it a mistake that the very first instance of "Malsumis" is spelled "Malsumus"? It looks pretty much like a typo, but I wouldn't want to accidently correct what is actually an accepted variation, in which case it would still be useful to mention it to be. 66.130.156.83 (talk) 11:26, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

There is few references for the variations Malsum and Malsumsis — for ex. Malsum in Twins in mythology. Those variations could be interesting has its mean respectively "wolf" and "little wolf" in Passamaquoddy and Malecite, according to the Frederick Webb Hodge's Handbook of American Indians North of Mexico vol. 4 — ref. on Google Books Lacrymocéphale 12:37, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
