cult status

I think there should be a category about his cult-status among a certain sub-class of movie audiences.. There is no denying the fact that some of his ardent admirers derive their entertainment out of what was intended to be very serious scenes by the filmmaker. There is no mention of his cult following in Russia , where thanks to cold war indian movies were very popular and remebered even today.
