Edit: Richard Burton was from Pontrhydyfen , which is a village outside of Port Talbot, not Neath. Edit:Surely if Pontrhydyfen is outside Port talbot then it is also outside Neath, perhaps it would be better described as between the two towns although nowadays they are known as, the borough of Neath and Port Talbot.I come from Briton Ferry,Which is also Between the two towns. Edit: Often certain villages and towns are considered to be linked with either Neath or Port Talbot, usually linking to what valley they are in. I can't provide verifcation for this, but generally I've seen places with SA10 and SA11 postcodes being considered part of Neath and places with SA12 and SA13 postcodes being considered part of Port Talbot. Pontrhydyfen has an SA12 postcode which would generally mean it's part of Port Talbot. However, it may be worth noting that the Pelenna Electoral Ward, which contains Pontrhydyfen and Tonmawr, does maintain stronger links with Neath due to its proximity to Cimla and notably falls in the Cefn Saeson Comprehensive School catchment area. Again, apologies for the lack of verification. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.89.26.64 (talk) 10:19, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Notable People

I've rewritten this section, which included re-formatting it, alphabetizing it and adding some overlooked persons. I was unaware of any policy of inclusion, so included anyone who has stayed in Neath of note. Many of the lesser-known individuals were found through research in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography - I only included this reference, however, where I felt that there would be any kind of dispute over the information.
