The origin is usually use in metric system

Do you mean Origin (mathematics)? (Darien Shields 21:02, 17 December 2005 (UTC))

It's a shame Origin were disbanded by EA. I didn't know that! And I was hoping for a comeback of the space sim genre! Gamers nowadays have really dragged the industry down with them. Go go Sims! Is there a list of all space sim releases to date on Wikipedia?

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Origin logo.jpg

Nuvola apps important.svg

Image:Origin logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:46, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notable Employees?

Really now, almost half the article is the "Notable Employees" section, and less than half of those have a Wikipedia article of their own. Do they really qualify as "Notable"? 24.22.40.177 22:57, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

I worked there for half a dozen years from the early to mid 90s and I don't full understand the "Notable Employees" section myself.

While they were nice people, including the name of the ladies who took our food order during the mandatory 12 hour work days is not something I really consider to be notable. If I'm wrong, I should spend an evening trying to remember the names of the cute receptionists or the guy I bought weed from. Oh yeah, the older man who delivered the mail for a few years was pretty cool. And let's not forget David Ladyman and his funny hat.

Since this section was becoming notable ridiciliously long, I deleted the names of all people without a wikipedia page. 165.95.15.253 (talk) 23:08, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

that was pointless to delete those names. Maybe you shoulda filled those pages, lazy moron. ~~majinsnake~~ 4 December 2008 (UTC)

--My company apparently was once a vendor to this company, which is how I stumbled upon this article. I was attempting to find a more recent telephone number for them as the one we had on file was no longer in service. Now I understand why. Since my company once sold this company software, should I initiate a “notable vendors” section with, of course, a subsection for notable employees of said vendor with, naturally, yours truly heading the list?

I would nominate this entire article for deletion were it not for this former employee’s comment and exquisite sense of humor. On a serious note, I don’t think I’m going to edit at Wikipedia anymore. I’m really getting disgusted with the article inflation and how this once venerable internet institution is slowly devolving into one big vanity publishing concern, as well as the seemingly selective enforcement of notability requirements.

Gees, I once got "reprimanded” for simply inserting a link to my personal (free access and ad free) website for an advance review I had written of a subject’s personal memoir; a review written at the request of the publisher, an old and major publishing house. Here we have an entire article mentioning people that not one person in a million has ever heard of. —Preceding unsigned comment added by HistoryBuff14 (talkcontribs) 19:43, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
