[edit] Parang

parang is also a tradition on Carriacou, part of the tri island state of Grenada. Parang on carriacou is a mixture of calypso and social comment usually regarding local news, politicians but more usually the goings on on the island . parang because the comment can be cutting! but is usually good natured. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.5.88.69 (talk) 11:16, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Query on sorrel ambiguity

When parranderos are given sorrel, is it the leaf vegetable sorrel, the hibiscus relative known as Roselle or Jamaican sorrel, the hibiscus tea mentioned in the Sorrel (disambiguation), or something else?–Dan Hoeytalk 16:34, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
