Talk:Paternity

[edit] filiation should not redirect to paternity
Filiation doesn't necessarily mean paternity; where manuscripts are concerned, it refers to the history of transmission from version to version, and especially to such transmission as discovered and reconstructed by scholars. Charmii 07:32, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] meaning
I have the impression that (see wiktionary and others) the meaning of this word is broader.--Joep Zander 10:27, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
I totally agree. Simply looking at it from a different angle (e.g. compared to maternity) brings many complex cultural and social aspects to explore. An anthropological approach to the subject would be nice. --Enigma (talk) 03:12, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
