[edit] History of Research

I have just edited the H.O. portion and added recent research conclusions regarding indian history which are done via eminent and peer archaeologists and archaeogenologists.Nirjhara (talk) 03:28, 30 August 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Racial reality

Its a blog/website so why a reference?Nirjhara (talk) 08:05, 24 October 2011 (UTC)

By the late-2nd millennium BC offshoots of the Proto-Indo-Europeans had reached Anatolia, the Aegean, Western Europe, and the Iranian plateau;[1] they reached northern India later.

Er, shouldn't that be 'late 3rd millenium'? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Noitseuq (talkcontribs) 10:04, 27 October 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Original research tags

There is presently an "original research" tag at the beginning of the Culture section and the beginning of the Genetics section. Since I have read several books on the Indo-Europeans (plus back issues of JIES - the Journal of Indo-European Studies going back to vol. 1, no. 1, 1973) I don't see anything here that remotely resembles original research. Some of it is a bit dated, but it's hardly original. Thus, I am going to remove the first tag. If someone wants to put it back, please leave a comment here. If something is merely unsourced, then maybe a "citation needed" tag would be helpful (as many as are needed). As for the second tag, the work of Luigi Luca Cavalli-Sforza is quite well-known. Summarizing the results of his research hardly counts as original research. On the other hand, I haven't fully studied the Genetics section, so I'll leave that tag for now.
