[edit] Income discrepancy

"Males have a median income of $0 versus $86,933 for females." Something's wrong here. Mporter 07:57, 15 Jan 2005 (UTC)

"Males have a median income of over $100,000 versus $86,933 for females."
But, with females statistically living longer than males the females eventually tend to inherit that wealth. US Census Bureau data shows that, on average, nation-wide, females possess more wealth than males. This is due to the females inheriting the wealth amassed by males.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.50.0.167 (talkcontribs) 20:23, 19 February 2006

[edit] Sources of information?

I imagine some of the information is from people who simply lived there, but what about a listing of some sources in this article?

Particularily interesting (to me) would be any official sources on the country club's practices of black balling, etc.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.32.127.187 (talkcontribs) 13:18, 1 May 2006

IF you include the total population of African Americans and Native Americans in the Dempgraphics section, you should also include the total population for the other ethnic groups. KTHX!—Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.241.203.130 (talkcontribs) 04:28, 27 October 2006

[edit] Residents

All the references are broken and some entries are nonsense. (Ted Donny, owner of Sony?) 69.105.138.207 22:09, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

One might argue that the "non-families" may in fact be members of the gay community living very much as families. There are many lovely gay residents of Rancho.

[edit] References

I removed a lot of "fluff" and some of the notable people. These notable people could not be found under thier reference, so I removed them (because I could not verify them in any way). Also, I took out prominent and changed it to notable, sounds more encyclopedic. 69.227.173.45 01:46, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Highest Income

Money Magazine says that Hillsborough California is the highest income as of 2006:

1 Hillsborough, CA $263,456

[edit] Citation for the colloquialism "Rancho"

I was born and raised in a city adjacent to this community and I've never heard of Rancho Santa Fe being known locally as simply "Rancho". There are also several other communities in San Diego County whose names contain the word 'Rancho'. --crumb(talk) 21:39, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
