While Fargo and Grand Forks are looking at diversion projects, they're directly relevant to the Red River Floodway article.

- I would agree that the US diversion projects are not directly related, but they are related in that they deal with the same river, and have suffered similar floods to Winnipeg. One of the major reasons they would consider a diversion project would be the success of the Red River Floodway in Winnipeg. So to my mind, this section is relevant, and should be kept. I am doing a project on this right now. I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba so I have first-hand research.

- It is one of three man made structures that can be seen from space (low Earth orbit): The others are the Great Wall of China and the Suez Canal. (There is a myth that the Floodway, along with the Great Wall of China, can be seen from the moon. This is false—no manmade structure can be seen from the moon.)
According to this, a great many man-made structures can be seen from a low Earth orbit. - Montréalais 16:23, 12 July 2005 (UTC)
