I have removed the blog link to "Madan"], a student in Ribandar, as I cannot find it relevant.
What is the evidence for connecting "the Vijayanagar Empire vs. Bahamani Sultanate's Battle of Raichur Doab" with Ribandar? Preposterous. Raichur is a city in the Deccan, and Doab means a portion of land between two rivers. Raichur Doab would then be located around the city of Raichur, and cannot have any connection with Ribandar.
As a matter of fact, the city of Raichur is located quite close to the site of the former city of Vijayanagaram. See this page which shows the relative location of Raichur and Goa: Karnataka Map
