Talk:Subsistence farming
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The author, seemingly, is under the misapprehension that subsistence farming necessarily relies on primitie techniques. Subsistence farming is simply farming aimed mainly at the sustenance of the farmer; there is no reason for assuming that surpluses should be rare. The difference between primitive farming techniques and the latest organic methods is comparable to those between a Model-T and a Ferrari. Google Borsodi, Bromfield, and Chadwick for more information.
