Talk:Subsistence farming

The author, seemingly, is under the misapprehension that subsistence farming necessarily relies on primitie techniques. Subsistence farming is simply farming aimed mainly at the sustenance of the farmer; there is no reason for assuming that surpluses should be rare. The difference between primitive farming techniques and the latest organic methods is comparable to those between a Model-T and a Ferrari. Google Borsodi, Bromfield, and Chadwick for more information.

[edit] Merge with Subsistence agriculture

These two articles cover much of the same information, making them redundant. Bje2089 23:50, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
