How did Sunjong "[rule Korea] from 1907 until 1920", if "his rein ended with the Japan-Korea Annexation Treaty of 1910"? 152.91.9.115 00:33, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
As you might guess, pretty much as a puppet. I need a source to confirm, but the Coffee Poisoning Plot, which caught both him and his father, Kojong, is said to have left him mentally disabled as well as infertile. --Dan 17:22, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
I heard that somebody put some opium into the coffee that Gojong and Sunjong liked to drink. I attempted to enter Sunjong's full posthumous name, but as I am illiterate of the of the styles of the Korean language and its alphabet, I want to implore anyone who might help me, especially with the title of "Munun" and "Dongin" and every Hanja chracter of the name. Hey...
I know that his first consort was Empress Sunmyeong, from the Yeoheung Mins...
But from what I've recently seen (from the official site of the Myeongseong drama), her posthumous name is listed as 純明孝太后 순명효태후 Sunmyeong hyo-taehu "The Filial Empress Dowager Sunmyeong". Very contrary to the posthumous name here in this article 純明孝皇后 순명효황후 Sunmyeong hyo-hwanghu "The Filial Empress (Consort) Sunmyeong"...
What is correct? Dan, a little help, please?
And might I ask, is there a difference in 太后/태후 and 皇太后/황태후?

Empress Min [Sun-myong-hyo Hwang-hu] (b. 20th November 1872; d. at the Kyongun Palace, Seoul, 11th December 1904, bur. Yu-nung, Kumgok), raised to the rank and title of Crown Princess (Wang-se-ja-bin Cho-ha) 1882, Great Crown Princess (Wang-se-tae-ja-bin) 1894, Imperial Princess (Hwang-se-ja-bin) with the style of Her Imperial Highness, 12th October 1897, and to the posthumous rank of Empress as Sun-myong Hwang-hu, daughter of H.E.
