As a TD Canada Trust Employee, here I'd like to point out the group head is Tim Hockey. Not Percy. And that's of recent. I'm changing it. --Dcluett (talk) 02:57, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
I moved most of the information and history to Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD Bank), since it doesn't apply to TD Canada Trust or Canada Trust. The formal name after the Canada Trust merger is now the Toronto Dominion Bank Financial Group (TDBFG).
Although the media does often refer to TDBFG as "TD Canada Trust" (because TD-CT is the largest and most familiar division of TDBFG) this is incorrect. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.38.206.70 (talk)
I took out to controversy link. Its just absolutely ridiculous nonsense. Its full of people complaining about problems 1 in 10000 people would have. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.96.239.123 (talk)
Someone put it back in. I agree, its absolutely crap, unfounded criticism that could be said about any bank anywhere. it makes this entire article (as there is nothing else to it) look like a td bank bashing exercise. I'm removing it. please dont put it back in. -mariokarter
I have put the Controversy link back in, as I don't find the above criticisms to be valid. Indeed, a few of the "entries" on that website may speak to undesirable business practices. As such, it is a valid link and should not be removed, though I would not object to the link phrase "Controversy" being changed to something more apropos.
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Pyat rublei 1997.jpg
Image:Pyat rublei 1997.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Rewrite & Cleanup
I've done a minor rewrite, and tried to make the article a bit more neutral. I also removed the 'treats them like family' sentence, as it is extremely subjective, unverifiable, and not of encyclopedic quality. The rewrite also includes some clean up, including the removal of a random sentence from the references, and the addition of a reference for the 'best employers' award. I think I've done what I wanted to achieve, but it is definitely still a stub. Anyone up for the challenge of filling it out? --Dbo789 (talk) 06:57, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- I should add, I tried to find a reference for the number of clients stated in the first sentance. Unfortunately all I could find is the number of branches and ATMs. Anyone mind tracking down a ref? --Dbo789 (talk) 07:00, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- I've added an infobox with the correct logo and some updated information. --Dbo789 (talk) 02:50, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Image Changes
I've updated the images in the article. The branch image better shows the division's operations than the tower image, and the old image of the cards is extremely out-of-date. It has been ten years since the TD/Canada Trust merger. Furthermore, TDCT cards do no longer look like the one in the image since the implementation of chip technology in Canada. --75.159.149.127 (talk) 03:18, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
