Are there any objections about replacing this image with Image:Eicosanoid_synthesis.png, which is more detailed? JFW | T@lk 22:30, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)

could you make it larger?

[edit] Several Thromboxanes

Usually, references to 'Thromboxane' mean TXA2, produced from arachidonic acid. But there are also TXAs produced from Eicosapentaenoic acid and DGLA. Eventually I'll get around to rewriting the article if somebody doesn't beat me to it. But I'm adding this post because 83.248.158.114 changed the formula. The correction was better than what was there before, but the formula in the chembox that he left was for TXA3, which is confusing unless explained. David.Throop 21:46, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

As the thromboxanes are a class of compounds, would it be better to have several chemboxes? I added the structure of TXA2 a while ago and forgot to edit the chembox accordingly, which must have added to the confusion. Fvasconcellos 22:07, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
The information in the Chembox was apparently never right - the PubChem link pointed to some other compound entirely and that compound's stats showed up in the ChemBox.
Can somebody check and get the correct CAS number? David.Throop 12:29, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Done. I'll add a MeSH link as well. Fvasconcellos 15:23, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Sorry -- looks like it was my error. --Arcadian 17:35, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
