[edit] Tongzhi = Emperor/Chinese gay
Tongzhi can also refer to the, in English commonly used, chinese word for gays. I was surprised to get to some Emperors site. So there needs to be a note —Preceding unsigned comment added by LiangHH (talk • contribs)
- Uh, so is the word for comrade. AFAIK "tongzhi" as a euphemism for gay is from "comrade"... so blame it on Mao. -- Миборовский 02:19, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
