This article needs a serious editing. Vitex and several other genera listed here have been transferred to Lamiaceae. This article should probably be expanded to address the concepts of Verbenaceae s.l. and Verbenaceae s.s., with the Lamiaceae article edited in tandem. MrDarwin 13:32, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
