[edit] Wrong information about language development
Quote:
- It was the middling part of Denmark-Norway during the "Viking Age", which is why Bokmal steadily became the national written language after Harald I of Norway.
Bokmål and Danish influence of language was far, far later than Harald Fairhair. I've removed this sentence. -- Egil 17:34, 9 Feb 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Bogus information
For about 6 months, this article contained a lot of semi-bogus information provided by the banned user Kenneth Alan.--Wiglaf 22:02, 28 July 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Spurious info about current use removed
I have removed the text inserted by Egil in this edit about the use of the term Viken having been revitalized in recent time. I don't believe this is the case (I live in Oslo). Anyway, if someone feels it to be so, this should be cited with a reliable source. __meco 07:39, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
