I made major changes to this article on 7-01-2006, correcting the English (the original article was written by a non-native speaker), and adding important information like the economy, education, and tourism sections. Vogensen 16:30, 7 January 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. I wanted to correct most of the information posted here, I just didn't have the time.

I think it should be mentioned the existence of The Day After[1]. One of the biggest clubs of the country; its size is worth mentioning. I'll try to find more information on it. Also one of the biggest (the biggest, some say) malls (shopping centres) of Europe is being built in the city. The already existing shopping centre "Palácio do Gelo" (Ice Palace) contains an ice rink and three cinema screens, but is now being extended to the parking lots. Apparently, the new parking lots are going to be underground. I'll try to find more info 'bout this as well.--Ciga 19:29, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
