I too thought Nightingale Primary school was in Wanstead, but it is actually between Wanstead and South Woodford, and its address is South Woodford too, so I'm going to remove the mention of Nightengale from the page. Loserdog3000 20:16, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
You are right that Nightingale has an E18 postcode but most people in Wanstead regard the school as being there. I think one side of the building is in E18 and the other E11. By your definition, you should remove Snaresbrook primary in Medow walk which you will find is also in E18. Both of these school are infact the only non denominational primary schools for the children of Wanstead. Paul
Snaresbrook Primary school is in Snaresbrook, not Wanstead. Yes, there are only two non-denominational Primary schools in Wanstead, but they are Aldersbrook Primary and Nightingale Primary. It should be noted that Aldersbrook is in the E12 post code area. Everything in the Aldersbrook area has an E12 post code, yet is still Wanstead. Nightingale was always considered to be a Wanstead primary school, regardless the post code it has. Some of Wanstead falls under the E18 post code, but is still Wanstead (this applies to Nightingale School), other parts of Wanstead fall under the E12 post code (mostly a Manor Park post code), yet are still in Wanstead. Parts of Leytonstone come under the E11 post code, but are not considered to be Wanstead (Leytonstone Tube station, for example). You can't determine which area a school falls under simply by its post code. What matters is the catchment area. For Nightingale Primary, the catchment area is Wanstead. Snaresbrook's catchment area is Snaresbrook and South Woodford.
You didn't mention the Grotto in Wanstead Park!

Under 'Notable residents' it says "Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester and favourite of Elizabeth I, had a house here, in which he died..." However, the article on Dudley says "On his way to Buxton in Derbyshire to take the baths, he died at Cornbury Park near Oxford...".
