A fact from Year of the Three Emperors appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know? column on 23 October 2008, and was viewed approximately 5500 times _(disclaimer) _{(check views)}. The text of the entry was as follows: "Did you know

... that three different emperors ruled over the German Empire during 1888, the Year of the Three Emperors?"

What do you think? Should it be Year of the Three Emperors? or Year of Three Emperors? Both sources I have have it with the "the," so as of now I suggest changing it to that. The Kaisers/Emperors difference is just a small matter of language that doesn't effect it too much but the "the" might, I'm not sure. --Banime (talk) 23:20, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Ok, I've made a decision. Because every one of my sources has a "the" in the title, I'm going to move this article to "Year of the Three Emperors" and redirect all variations to it. If you disagree let me know. --Banime (talk) 18:10, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

- How long?

Thanks for all of these questions, all of them are answered in the main article on Frederick III, German Emperor. I'll work on putting some more info in here but I don't how much I want to clutter it with information on Frederick III. --Banime (talk) 11:17, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Something not right

Germany unified in 1871 and Wilhelm became Kaiser. He died in 1888. So why does it state that Wilhelm ruled Germany for 27 years ?? Looks like seventeen years to me. Maybe he ruled Prussia for 27 years or something, but he didn't rule Germany for 27 years. If I knew the answer to this inconsistency I would fix it myself.
