Hello. Zhangjiakou is my birthplace. I added a modern history section, all of the contents of the section, as well as the population figure and area.

[edit] Need cities of Zhangjiakou

The various cities within Zhangjiakou, such as 沙城镇, should be listed. Badagnani 01:57, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Name in Mongolian

I think the name in the (transliteration of the) classical script is incomplete. In halh-mongolian terms, it should be "chuulalt haalga", not just "haalga". Yaan (talk) 10:40, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Good to see the Mongolian name. I've met people from Zhangjiakou who have no idea of the Mongolian-related background of their city. For them, it's just another Han city in Hebei. It's a pity how quickly homogenisation takes place in China.

It's inside the great wall, though, isn't it? Yaan (talk) 12:53, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
