Ålänningen[edit]

ålänningen doesn't mean 'the Ålands', it is the singular definite form of the word ålänning which means a person from Åland. I took the liberty of translating it to "the Ålander", like the Swedish word islänningen would be translated to "the Icelander". Do change it if you disagree. Aïatusz 20:19, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

English Lyrics[edit]

Translated the rest of the anthem with my Swenglish, if a native speaker would like to take a look I'd be grateful. I couldn't come up with a good translation of "hägnande bo", frankly I'm not sure what they mean. I'd say it'd mean a table or home with a surplus of goodies like food and desert but I'm unsure and I can't find any two English words for that. Cheers /193.47.167.202 15:18, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
