Material needed[edit]

I have been unable to locate an obituary of Amelineau. This is needed, to fill in the details. One problem we have is that Amelineau's reputation in the anglophone world was destroyed by Petrie's publications, so we do not see him whole and the material available is very critical. Stephen Emmel's remarks may be too severe, and conditioned by the fact that he has a book to sell. Amelineau was a great scholar, although a wretched archaeologist. I've added what I can find, but it leaves the article unbalanced. Roger Pearse (talk) 23:45, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
