Talk:.20 Ferguson Ace
|WikiProject Firearms||(Rated Stub-class, Low-importance)|
This article seems not to be written with neutral point of view. Use of "legendary gunsmith" and "predates the .204 Ruger" seem unnecessary.
I also can find only a handful of forum references for this cartridge, and I would therefore question its notability.
As much as I would like to see every wildcat cartridge have its own article page, unless significant amounts of new information can be found and added, I think this article's content should be merged into .20 BR as a variant and this page left as a redirect.
Also... this article title is incorrect, the cartridge is the .20 Ferguson Ace, see: Small Caliber News index. If the SCN published "news" in a timely manner then the .22 Ferguson Ace must have been developed in early-2002 and the .20 in late-2002 or early-2003. There is a whole family of Ferguson Ace cartridges from .20 to 6.5mm, all based on the 6mm BR case, blown out to almost straight cases and with 45° shoulders and short necks. See image at: saubier.com. If the image is to scale, the cases measure approx .448 shoulder width and shoulder at approx 1.2" and at 45°.
I still don't think this article is notable, although an article about the whole Ferguson Ace family might be.
I have merged this scantily-referenced info into the article in the hope that it might be useful as a basis for a Ferguson Ace article one day.
