That "Index of names in .museum" is still empty, after 11 years. Is it really useful? --Oop (talk) 14:35, 4 March 2012 (UTC)

Two kinds of museums[edit]

I recall hearing somewhere that the purpose of .museum is twofold: for brick-and-mortar museums to have an online presence, and to be a space for the creation of online museums. Though this only begs the question: how easy or not is it to pass the credential checking if you're looking to set up an online museum?

Anyhow, there's something about it on Dan's Domain Site, but I wonder if we can find some accurate and up-to-date information in order to expand upon the "Intended use" and "Actual use" to address this distinction. — Smjg (talk) 20:04, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
