Comment[edit]

This is a great movie concerned about life, with the use of a girl as the main character in this drama. This is also based on a true story of KITO Aya.

Spinocerebellar atrophy[edit]

I'm surprised that there isn't an article on spinocerebellar atrophy here on Wikipedia. I could have sworn there was one before. Now it's just the ataxia article, which is more of a group of symptoms caused by the atrophy than the disease itself. I could put an external link to anyone who wants more info on the disease.

Splitting Pages[edit]

All it consists of is moving the info box (technically the only part of this article about the book) to 1 Litre of Tears (novel), and inserting a new infobox for the show. Copyright Infringement[edit]

The article is now marked as copyright infringement. It believe it is just a problem with the episode summary section. Is there any more information about this? It is possible that the external cite copied their contents from wiki? I find it difficult to use wiki to determine who and when edits to a particular section were made. Why not just use the history tab? The edit was done by a Happyjam at 2009-06-04T09:41:10. It's a copy and paste job from DramaWiki. We should check if the DramaWiki has a reuse clause in their licensing, though I doubt it. Looking at the comments on Happyjam's page, it looks like he/she is a repeat offender. We could just rewrite the episode synopses - though I think they should be moved to their own page if it's going to be that detailed. — TheBenignBovine | (talk) 20:45, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A search shows that much of the text for this article's introduction, synopsis and episodes was copied from the DramaWiki website articles titled "1_Litre_no_Namida" and "Ichi_Rittoru_no_Namida/SynopsisEpisode#Synopsis_-_Episode_11". A review of the article histories shows the DW text was created before the WP. Because DramaWiki does not operate under a GFDL or GNU Free Documentation License, this requires the deletion of all the text which was copied into Wikipedia -- which I have done. I've left the basic article outline, infobox, cast lists and episode list since this is not copyright violation. I wrote two detailed synopses of various episodes, including Episode 11 (for which there is NO information on Dramawiki). I would have gladly accepted them as individual entries. I understand someone added additional plot summaries from other sources; but you had no justification for wiping out my additions in your rather haphazard swoop. As one of Kitô Aya's English translators, I used this entry to help promote in an informative way the work and life of this amazing person. Indeed, it was my first experience working with Wikipedia. However, I am now personally fed up with your reckless, dictatorial interference with this entry. I won't bother contributing on this section anymore. Do any of you know anything about the text, or are you just playing rules police? I don't know anything about Happyjam's postings, but *all* of my material was entirely original, and based on research conducted and soon to be published by own efforts. Ridiculous. You maniacally wiped out the entire content without measuring what was, and what wasn't, copied from DramaWiki. *All* of my entries, including analysis of the narrative and plot summary, were original. You're a perfect example of how hot-headed legalism is ruining Wikipedia. You may have "solved the problem" but you destroyed all of the creative energy that went into the page.
