GA Review[edit]

Here is some initial stuff:

*Ref # 2 doesn't have an author and such. I understand that it says "CNN", but then you have to change the type of "cite web" template.

  • Could you add some images from some of the references? Some are really graphic, and that's just what GAs need.

    • What is this supposed to mean? Perhaps I'm playing a little dumb, but still I don't know the Iranian code of practice for seismic-resistant design (and I doubt you do either. :)) Perhaps you could provide a link or create an article on this?

Copyediting[edit]

In doing copyediting on request, I've come across two apparently contradictory sentences. I have no idea what this article is about, thank goodness I don't need to know in order to copyedit, but I thought one of the main article writers/reviewers should look at these two sentences from two separate sections and tell me how they don't contradict:

  1. The Qazvin region was hit by an even stronger earthquake in 1963, killing 12,200 (Background and Tectonics)
  2. The event also damaged the historical Kharaqan tomb towers, in a good state of preservation prior to the earthquake, which suggests that the quake was the most powerful in the region for approximately 900 years (Damage and Casualties)

Found another one, and again, this could be due to my contextual ignorance:

  1. Residents in the village of Changureh resorted to throwing stones at the car of a government minister (lead paragraph), contradicts
  2. Residents of Avaj threw stones at Interior Minister Abdolvahed Mousavi-Lari's car in anger at the government's delay in providing relief (Public Anger section)

Avaj. While I've had several sources say it was both, the general scientificb concensus seems, rather then when I wrote the intro, that it was Avaj.
