It's wrong - UTC for Moscow[edit]

A lot of the event pages have Moscow as UTC+4; it's UTC+3. Can there be help to correct all these?Bruno Russell (talk) 09:20, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What does it mean?[edit]

The number between brackets after the nation name in "Participating nations" section. My guess is it's the number of athletes participating, but I can't find an explanation anywhere in the article. Mohamed CJ (talk) 20:08, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stadium audience attendance[edit]

I'm surprised there is no comment about the lack of stadium audience on most days. Sitting at home in the UK it was a remarkable sight seeing so many empty seats. Occasionally the BBC commentators noted it and there were comments in The Guardian about it. Richard Avery (talk) 06:54, 19 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

there were many comments also in the main European newspapers: focused on sports, as La Gazzetta dello Sport, L'Équipe, but also Le Monde or La Repubblica. The official attendance is high but because the organising committee added a lot of invited people (including military...) to fill the stadium.
