==about the years== Actually the school isn't longer, but the start is later. In England pupils start at the age of 4/5 whereas here it is 6/7 . 82.83.117.83 (talk) 15:03, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Change completed"[edit]

Does "change completed" refer to the end of the eight-year transition term between start of the Gymnasium time (starting grade 5) to the Abitur (finishing grade 12)? The German article mentions a 'double Abitur year' where students from the first G8 and the last G9 group finishing in the same year (thus doubling the load on universities and employers), happening mainly in 2011-2013. This, however, would mean that the change must have been arranged already eight years before (e.g. 2002 for Hamburg, 2005 for NRW etc.).--SiriusB (talk) 20:55, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
