Edit Request for Updates of Outdated Information[edit]

I have some proposed edits for the page, as some of this information is outdated. Full disclosure, I am an employee at Acquia (as my username suggests), but this information is vendor neutral and is meant to update old information, as well as add relevant information and make the page more accurate.

Key people Section (This needs to be updated as there have been some changes in leadership) Michael Sullivan (CEO) Dries Buytaert (CTO) Stephen Reny (COO) Heather Hartford (CPO) Chris Doggett (CRO) Lynne Capozzi (CMO) Chris Andersen (CFO) Omer Artun (Chief Science Officer) John Mandel (Head of Engineering)

Number of employees (The current number is incorrect and needs to be updated). 1,000

This is a possible addition to the description as Acquia has been bought by Vista Equity Partners and has annonunced a new product suite).

Acquia is the open digital experience platform that enables organizations to build, host, analyze and communicate with their customers at scale through websites and digital applications. Acquia uses adaptive intelligence to produce better business outcomes for CX leaders.

In July 2020, Acquia announced its Open Digital Experience Platform (DXP). Powered by Acquia Marketing Cloud and Acquia Drupal Cloud, Acquia DXP is a unified solution that unlocks the value of data and content so organizations can rapidly create new digital experiences. Marketers and developers now have a single, easy-to-use platform to build, personalize, and orchestrate multi-experience customer journeys across all modes of customer interaction, such as touchscreens, chat, voice, and more.

In September 2019, Acquia received a majority investment from Vista Equity Partners to accelerate the company’s growth as a DXP leader. Acquia is headquartered in Boston, but has 14 total offices in 9 countries around the globe. Recent awards and analyst highlights include: Direct Marketing News (DMN) Company of the Year Inc. 5000’s Fastest-Growing Companies Forbes Cloud 100 Comparably’s Best Leadership and Best Company in Boston Leader in Gartner’s 2020 Magic Quadrant for DXPs Leader in Gartner’s 2019 Magic Quadrant for WCM Leader in Forrester’s 2019 Wave for WCM

Relationship with Drupal (This section elaborates on the company's connection to open source platform Drupal, and provides useful supplementary information) Dries Buytaert created the first Drupal content management framework while finishing his master’s degree in 2000. As he was working toward his doctorate while also leading the open source Drupal project, he began to envision a company devoted to the success of Drupal and to supporting its growing community.

To “take Drupal full-time,” Buytaert and Jay Batson founded Acquia in 2007 to provide infrastructure, support and services to enterprise organizations using Drupal, to help Drupal scale, to promote open source software, to make Drupal easier, to spur greater adoption, and to empower a thriving network of Drupalists around the world.

Acquia initially offered managed cloud hosting and fine-tuned services for Drupal, and has now grown to provide a fully loaded digital experience platform with Drupal at its core.

Hi Kat at Acquia, and thank you for your suggestions. I am declining this edit request because I am concerned that the wording of these changes is somewhat promotional. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising, marketing or public relations, but this draft has a clear slant towards putting Acquia in a positive light. I'm especially concerned about the use of marketing jargon such as "fully loaded digital experience platform", "empower a thriving network of Drupalists around the world", and "unified solution that unlocks the value of data and content," but this is not an exhaustive list. Should you still wish to update this article, I would recommend rewriting this draft with a terser tone, and resubmitting another edit request.
