Can anyone provide references for any of this? I know it all to be true, but only from personal experience. It is easy to provide some evidence that this kind of Advent candle is on widespread sale in the UK and Germany, and unknown in the USA, by looking them up in the Amazon sites for the three countries (at least at the moment, early November). But I fear that counts as the dreaded Personal Research. seglea (talk) 22:27, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm quite sure, that you're wrong! The advent candle is of danish origin, where it is much more widespread than in Germany. You'ld usually buy them in Danish stores in Germany! See the danish version of this article. Maybe some danish person would fix this article?--Makra (talk) 12:23, 13 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely a Danish tradition, but I can't produce a source other than saying "I'm German, and I have only seen it in Denmark or in families who spend their holidays in Denmark" - logically,it would also collide with the German tradition of the Adventskranz. 2003:DF:3BC5:9A00:69E1:2A09:668C:5D9B (talk) 01:37, 24 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
