I removed;
"These costs (there are three) were identified by Michael Jensen and William Meckling in 1976; (1) Monitoring expenditure by principle (2) Bonding costs incurred by agents (3) The residual loss
Berle and Means first identified these costs in the 1920s and 30s, while observing the structure of US organisations."
Jensen & Meckling '76 was the first and very influential paper on this subject, but later research showed that there are more than just those three costs. I added the various actors and their objectives, but every actor requires a more elaborated part. I just briefly mentioned them and the most important aspects of them. Please go into details.
[edit] Still needs work
I added the multiple issues template and specifically the call for expert work from Economics. This article needs help! Seems like it could use a short and more general introduction, and most of the subsequent headings could be subheadings for agency costs in corporate the corporate environment. It could link the topic more to agency costs that exist outside of business organizations, too.
Who is this Professor Jodie Coles? I couldn't find that quote except on pages quoting wikipedia. I wondered if it was Jeffrey Coles, but didn't want to change it until I found a source for the quote. PsNP (talk) 08:54, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
