Needed for B class[edit]

The organization does both SAR and CSAR, and should have definitions and differentiations. Some CSAR will go to special operations forces.

Hostage rescue is neither CSAR nor SAR and should be removed.

The organization has a rich tradition, and many more sources are available.

Motto[edit]

Is the motto "These things we do that others may live" or is it "These things we do... that others may live"

Which is correct?

Current Rescue & Guardian Angel Unit Designations section[edit]

The "Current Rescue & Guardian Angel Unit Designations" section doesn't quite fit with this article - the ARS was disbanded in 1993, but this section contains unit information from 2011. I believe this content should reside in other articles. A paragraph describing what happened to ARS missions and units immediately post-1993 would be fine, but I'm proposing deletion of the rest from this article. Thoughts? Cheers! I agree generally with the comment. There is a lot here that does not relate to the organization. Although Rescue Service is no longer active, it was not disbanded in 1993. Some observations on the article:

Some background is appropriate, but starting off with helicopter use in the CBI Theater is not. The earliest rescue squadrons used OA-10s and later SB-17s. The 5th Emergency Rescue Squadron performed CSAR with P-47s.

On the other end, rescue since 1993 might be appropriate for a separate Rescue in the United States Air Force article, and articles on Air Rescue in the Korean War and Air Rescue in the Vietnam War could be written. Some of the material on reserve and guard rescue units would be appropriately dealt with during the periods they were to be gained by ARS/ARRS in wartime.

Having just greatly expanded the article, by opinion is that much of what is in it should be stripped out (but preserved).
