Ugh[edit]

Terrible song. Just saps you of creativity. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.88.124.209 (talk) 02:34, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I can't tell you how useful your comment is. Because it's not. 24.95.247.110 (talk) 06:06, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Parody song[edit]

I've reinserted the Trivia section deleted by an I.P. user, although if you think that it is better to put in the Battle of Ontario article you can put it there or discuss it here.--JForget 16:01, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Singer[edit]

Someone should add who the song was sung by. Since Mark and Tom switched off on songs right? --Huper Phuff talk 18:16, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Genre[edit]

Don´t add punk rock as a genre. This is one of Blink´s very light songs, it´s power pop. (I didn´t delete pop punk because people would get angry and start act childish) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.217.22.168 (talk) 00:56, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on All the Small Things. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

  • Attempted to fix sourcing for //www.rt100.ro/topul-anului-2000.html

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

Alternative rock citation[edit]

Although it isn't that ridiculous to call the song alternative rock. The citation provided for alternative rock isn't a good source. If you look at the citation, it includes the best alt rock songs of 1999. in the list, you find "My Name Is" by Eminem (pure rap), Nookie by limp bizkit (nu metal/rap metal), denial by sevendust (nu metal), push it by static-x (industrial metal), the offspring's kids aren't alright (punk rock) and Korn's freak on a leash (nu metal). Obviously these songs aren't alternative rock and I'm sure the author knows this. The word alternative can be used to describe any song that is connected to alt rock, including goth rock, new wave, industrial, punk, emo, nu metal and post-grunge. If you look at the article and scroll down to My Name Is by Eminem. It points out in the article "This, by all measures, should not be here. Thanks to America’s long love affair with both novelty songs and internalized racism, the one non-Beastie rap song to chart in the Modern Rock Top 40 in 1999 was—surprise!—by a white guy." My name is went to the alternative songs (modern rock tracks) chart back then, which must be why it's on the list. It seems the list is referring to songs on the Modern Rock chart, which is called alternative rock radio. The label "alternative rock" is used very broadly to include non-alternative music. On page 1, the article says "If alternative rock is going to be indistinguishable from regular rock, you might as well learn to love it like a pop fan. Here are the best 69 songs that charted in the Modern Rock Top 40 in 1999, running the gamut from “brilliant” to “actually enjoyable” to “this website is clearly staffed by millennials.” It seems like they're using the word alternative rock because the Modern Rock Songs chart was also called the Alternative Songs chart and it measures how much a song is played on what is called alternative rock radio. If this article is a citation we can use to add alternative rock, then according to that logic, we can add alternative rock to pages like static-x push it, my name is eminem or sevendust denial. i don't think this source considers every song on here alternative rock. if we can add a citation for alt rock, we need a better source. There have been multiple WikiProject level discussions that had a consensus that inclusion on a “List of best x genre songs” works for verifying genre. Save your arguments for if someone tries to do something foolish like use it to source alternative rock for Eminem or something. As you say, there’s nothing outlandish about this song being considered alternative rock. Sergecross73 msg me 03:11, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
